PANAMA CITY, Fla. (CNN/WJHG) –A 30-year-old post office in Florida came tumbling down Tuesday as workers tried to move it to a new location.
Movers say a jack fail caused the mishap. They also say rotted wood on the seaside post office could be to blame. The seaside community development corporation released a statement after the incident, saying:
"As in any building move there are inherent risks. While every precaution was taken, unfortunately, the move did not go as planned, and we are currently assessing the damage to the building. We are working diligently with Ducky Johnson [the movers] and our crew to recover the building as a whole and move as planned."
