Warm start to October

Temperature outlook

Did you enjoy this cool Saturday? Don’t get too used to it! Warmer weather will return tomorrow and next week will feel like summer. Today’s high temperature only reached 65°, but tomorrow’s temperatures will climb to the mid-70s! You may need to break out the shorts this week, because temperatures will climb to the mid-80s by Wednesday. Cooler conditions should return by next weekend. Long story short- you may need an iced pumpkin spice latte to keep cool this week!

Rain chances

After a sunny Saturday, you probably saw increasing clouds this evening. A weather system to our north will produce scattered showers tonight and tomorrow morning. Most locations will remain dry.

Tomorrow afternoon, Mr. Sun will return! That sunshine will lift temperatures to the mid-70s.

Yet another weather system could produce more scattered showers late tomorrow. Once again, showers will remain few and far between.

What about fall colors?

Have you noticed the leaves changing colors? That’s kind of a trick question! Our fall foliage generally doesn’t peak in color until mid-October. Give it a few more weeks! This unusually warm weather could hinder some of the vibrant colors from developing.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Tune in tonight after the Ohio State vs. Penn State football game for news, weather, and sports.
