Two days, two presidents for northern Indiana

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – As plans come together for President Donald Trump’s election-eve visit to Fort Wayne, his predecessor is making plans of his own for a rally in northern Indiana.

Barack Obama will headline an event on behalf of state Democrats Sunday afternoon in Gary.

The event at the Genesis Center aims to turn out voters in a Democrat-heavy part of the state.

Trump’s event, the following day at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, takes place in Republican-leaning northeast Indiana.

ABC21 will broadcast the president’s rally, which is set to take place about 6:30 p.m. It is the first visit to Fort Wayne by a sitting president since Ronald Reagan came to town in 1982.
