Coroner releases identities of three people killed in Thanksgiving shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ABC 21) – The coroner has identified the three people killed during an apparent home invasion on Thanksgiving in Fort Wayne.

Police responded to the 6100 block of Downingtown Drive around 10:30 p.m. Thursday where they found three people dead and two others critically hurt inside the home.

23-year-old Joevonn M. Johnson, 20-year-old Colton D. Messmer, and 21-year-old Tracey A. Andrews died from gunshot wounds.

Their deaths mark the 41st, 42nd, and 43rd homicides in Allen County and Fort Wayne this year.

Police have arrested 22-year-old Kameron J. Joyner, on five preliminary counts of aggravated battery.

Police are also searching for a person of interest, Gerald Pinkston, 22.

Pinkston is described as being 5’7”, about 145 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone that knows the whereabouts of Gerald Pinkston is asked to call 911 to report your information. Pinkston should be considered armed and dangerous.
