Unfortunately (for some, anyway!) warming up usually means one of two things: snow is moving in, or rain is moving in. In this case, both are true!
First, let’s discuss the snow. A clipper system will bring light, powdery snow to the region after sunset and will exit early Friday morning. While this isn’t particularly heavy in moisture or slow moving, we could squeeze out 1-3″ (maybe isolated amounts of 4″ or so) of snow before all is said and done, with the highest amounts expected south of Fort Wayne.
Therefore, I do expect travel issues by Friday morning, because even a little snow can go a long way on the roads.
This wintry weather won’t last too long, however! Highs return to the 40s and 50s over the weekend with rain likely by Monday of next week.
