Komets rally past Cincinnati in OT

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – Mason Baptista’s goal with 2:02 gone in overtime lifted the Komets to a 5-4 win over the Cincinnati Cyclones on Sunday night.

It was the K’s second straight win at home after going seven games without a win at the Memorial Coliseum.

Shawn Szydlowski, whose goal with 41 seconds remaining in regulation forced overtime, stole the puck at the blue line, drew the defense to him, and then hit a wide open Baptista to beat former Komet Michael Houser for the game winning score.

Garrett Clarke, J.C, Campagna, and Anthony Petruzzelli had the other Fort Wayne goals.
