Court docs: Man, 34, arrested for assaulting, kidnapping teen

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — A 34-year-old man is facing charges of kidnapping and rape after police say he forced a teen into his car and sexually assaulted her.

According to court documents, 34-year-old Brent A. Taylor forced a 13-year-old girl into his car on January 24 when she was walking to a friend’s house.

Documents say he pulled up behind her and asked her if she needed a ride or wanted to make some money. She told him no, and he then allegedly grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into the car and locked the doors.

He took her to an ATM before driving to a church where documents say he sexually assaulted her, then dropped her back off near her friend’s house where he abducted her.

Surveillance cameras near the ATM were able to capture the license plate of Taylor’s car. He was arrested on May 8.

Taylor is being preliminarily charged with child molesting, rape, criminal confinement, and kidnapping.
