Opportunity Knocks: EACS debuting Automation and Robotics Program

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — On Monday’s Opportunity Knocks, Tim Wiegand who is the director of career and technical education for East Allen County Schools, told us more about the Industrial Automation & Robotics program the district will be debuting in the fall.

Students have already shown an early interest in the program in which the students can earn college credits. Wiegand says jobs in the automation industry will keep people employed for years to come.

The program is still in need of an instructor and Wiegand talks about the qualifications they must have.
