Fort Wayne YouTheatre closing season with Rapunzel

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — The Fort Wayne YouTheatre says they’re getting ready for their final production of the season.

The classic fairy tale story Rapunzel will be put on at the Arts United Campus. Organizers say it’s only part of what they have in store as they get ready for their final show of the season

The show tells the tale of a beautiful girl imprisoned in a tower. Her long hair may provide the escape when a brave prince discovers the damsel in distress.

The performance is part of the Fairy Tale Fest on the Arts United Campus. This event showcases performances by Youtheatre, Ballet and Dance Collective. There is also a character meet and greet, crafts with FAME, face painting, pop up performances, bouncy castle among other events.

Performances of Rapunzel take place at the Arts United Center are Friday, May 17 at 7 pm and Saturday, May 18 at 10 am but there is a Sensory Friendly Performance on Thursday, May 16 at 5:30 pm plus school shows. Tickets are available at
