Woman found dead, covered in blood

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as a 75-year-old woman.

The woman has been identified as Sally Ann Duncan-Sanders, 75, of Fort Wayne. Her cause of death has been determined to be multiple stab wounds, and her manner of death is homicide.

Duncan-Sanders is the seventh homicide in Allen County so far this year.

Fort Wayne police are looking into the mysterious circumstances behind a woman’s death.

The woman’s body was found inside a home on Lincolndale Avenue, near Goshen Road and I-69 Tuesday evening. Police say the body was found by firefighters and medics who were called to the home over a medical event.

ABC21 is working to learn who made the call and what lead up to the woman’s death. In the meantime, detectives are speaking with neighbors and looking for evidence.
