Bishop Dwenger wins boys golf regional, Filler takes individual title

PLYMOUTH, Ind. (WPTA21) — The Saints marched out of the Plymouth boys golf regional with a team title, and an individual champion.

Jonny Filler (72) won a tie-break with Homestead’s Adam DeLong to become the individual medalist. All five Saints golfers finished under 80, and Bishop Dwenger ended up with a team score of 305, two strokes better than second-place Penn.

Warsaw earned the other spot at state, with a team score of 318.

Along with DeLong, DeKalb’s Bailey Clark (73) and Columbia City’s Alex Hedrick (75) made the cut to advance to state as individuals.
