Clouds, cooler air moving in

Today’s sunny skies brought high temperatures closer to seasonal norms, which is in the upper 70s and low 80s. While the break from the clouds, rain, and cooler temperatures has been nice, it will not be long-lived. In fact, the coldest weather we have seen in several weeks will return on Thursday with high temperatures resembling September more than June!

The forecast tonight will feature mostly clear skies with lows in the 50s. Wednesday will be a cloudier day with the chance for a few showers after about 6 pm. Widespread rain is not expected, however, until Thursday as a cold front swing through. It will be a breezy, occasionally wet and unseasonably cool day with highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s–about 20 degrees colder than normal in some spots!

This cool air exits the region Friday and highs return to the mid 70s by the weekend.
