Hot, humid end to June

After wondering where the summer-like weather was for most of June, it has finally arrived with a vengeance! High temperatures will be well above average, reaching the 90s for most of 21 Country. Factor in the humidity, and it will feel more like the mid-to-upper 90s today. Of course, any day heat indices approach 100 degrees requires proper planning for any activities or events outdoors. If you’re heading out to any of the many events around the area today, be sure to plan accordingly.

With all the heat and humidity, there is an isolated chance of a pop-up shower or thunderstorm later in the day. The nature of pop-up summertime storms makes them difficult to forecast exactly, but any showers that do materialize later would be short-lived and localized. By the evening as the sun starts to set, the chances for pop-up showers will decrease significantly and we should be dry throughout the night. Lows this evening will drop into the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies.

Have a super Saturday!
