Teen gets two years of probation in deadly car crash case

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – An Allen County high school student was sentenced on Monday to two years on probation for his role in a wreck that killed one fellow student and injured five others.

Na Lay heard his sentence after pleading guilty to two counts of Criminal Recklessness Committed with a Deadly Weapon.

Ar Zi Za La, 17, of Fort Wayne, died in the Nov. 2 crash in the 9100 Block of Wayne Trace. Investigators said Na Lay was at the wheel of one of two vehicles that appeared to be racing down the road when the wreck happened.

One vehicle collided with a box truck and went into a ditch.
