Cookies recalled due to plastic contamination

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — Cookies are being recalled because they may have plastic pieces in the individual pouches.

The Food and Drug Administration says the recall involves Entenmann’s Little Bites Soft Baked Cookies. The recall was initiated after consumer reports of visible, blue plastic pieces found on or packaged with the product

The FDA says the plastic is not baked into the cookies, as it was introduced during the packaging process. It may, however, be a choking hazard.

Anyone with the recalled cookies should not eat them. Instead, they should return them for a full refund. The following product is subject to the recall.

Anyone with questions should call 1-800-984-0989.
