Overnight standoff ends peacefully following shooting

The Allen County Sheriff’s Department tells ABC21, 56-year-old Raul Espinosa remains in custody after his Aug. 3rd arrest.

Friday, just before midnight, New Haven police responded to reports of a shooting inside a mobile home in the 7000 block of Moeller Road.

Investigators found a woman lying in a nearby yard with gunshot wounds. The suspect refused to come out of the home.

A standoff lasted overnight until 4:40 a.m. Saturday. ABC21’s crew on scene heard police calling Espinosa’s name through a megaphone, urging him to surrender.
