(ABC) — According to a survey, more than 4 out of 5 Americans say they experience the so-called “Sunday Scaries,” that anxious feeling as you start a new work week.
Here are some tips to beat the nerves and start your week off right.
Get off your technology: try to resist the urge or commit to powering down by 5:00 p.m. so that you allow relaxation time on Sunday.
Try to get a good night’s sleep: Work to create a sleep time ritual for yourself. Michelle Bombacie, a Healthy Monday Advisor from Columbia University Medical Center, suggests setting a blue light filter on your phone, limiting TV time before bed and deep breathing exercises.
Get a new perspective: Bombacie suggests instead of looking at Monday as a day to dread, look at it as an opportunity to restart and refresh.
