FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — More than 24,000 pounds of raw beef are being recalled because they have been deemed unfit for human consumption.
The United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said the recall involves beef from American Beef Packers, Inc. The recalled beef was produced and packaged on August 21.
The beef was recalled because the carcass was released and processed before test results were received. The beef products were distributed in commerce.
While there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the product, consumers are urged not to eat them. The products should be thrown away or returned.
