FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — People can hit the streets for a good cause over the weekend.
The Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Indiana Buddy Walk takes place Saturday. Event organizers say the acceptance and advocacy walk celebrates the abilities and accomplishments of people with Down syndrome.
The walk is about 1.2 miles along downtown Fort Wayne streets around Parkview Field. It also features crafts, games, face painting, balloon art, a magician, silent auction and raffle prize drawings.
Organizers hope to raise $95,000 through the walk. People can register for the walk by visiting www.dsani.org.
