Hoop, Hoop, Hooray! ABC21 crew to take part in charity basketball game vs. local radio DJs

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – ABC21 and Fort Wayne’s NBC have joined forces to take on some local radio DJs in a charity basketball game next week.

The Children’s Autism Center is hosting the Oct. 10 charity basketball game at Concordia Seminary’s gym.

The cost at the door is $10, and the hosts will be auctioning off Colts Tickets, Pacer tickets, Hotel Stays, Dinners, VIP Access to future Fort Wayne Events, Embassy Tickets, Zoo Experiences, Golf packets, Liquor packages, restaurant gift cards, Vera Bradley, Pizza Hut, Kroger Gift Cards and more.

ABC21 Sports Director Zach Groth, Rex Smith, meteorologist Payton Domschke, meteorologist Nick Marusiak, and Kaitlyn Kendall are some folks from WPTA on the roster.

WMEE’s Andy Beckman, WOWO’s Kayla Blakeslee and John The Mexican from The Bear are some of the radio personalities representing Federated Media at the game.

Some folks on the ABC21 side have already started trash-talking ahead of the game.

While ABC21 is prepared to take the W, the event is truly about raising money for the Children’s Autism Center.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
