The weekend will feature highs in the 40s with partly cloudy skies, but the first area wide snow is possible Veteran’s Day, Monday (mainly midday through early evening).
Timing and amounts are still uncertain, though I feel confident enough to issue a snow map highlighting a general 1-2″ south and east of Fort Wayne and 1-3″ north and west of Fort Wayne where there will be slightly better moisture availability Roads will likely be slippery late Monday when melting snow refreezes!
Then sharply colder air follows the snow, with highs in the 20s and wind chills likely in the single digits, even in the middle of the day Tuesday. Record cold is likely.
A moderating trend will then commence Wednesday and continue into the end of next week, with signs of the 40s returning as early as the upcoming weekend.
