Strong and even dangerously strong winds are possible during the middle of the day. Gusts of 50-60 miles are likely and a stray stronger than 60 mile per hour gust isn’t out of the question. By afternoon and evening it becomes less likely for damaging winds but it will still be very windy. Winds will continue to diminish overnight.
Travel on interstates will become difficult with higher profile vehicles likely getting pushed around by the strongest winds. Lawn furniture may be moved if not thrown by the strongest winds. Flights may be delayed due to the strong winds.
Temperatures will slip from the 40s down to the upper 30s this evening and drop further to around freezing by morning. Highs on Thanksgiving and Black Friday will both be around 40 degrees. It will remain generally overcast both days with rain returning for Saturday.
We’ll keep track of the strongest gusts and have the latest on any damage coming up this afternoon and evening.
