Komets treat Thanksgiving crowd to rare shutout win

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — In a very fitting tribute to Bob Chase, the Komets earned a commanding victory on Thanksgiving, beating Wheeling 3-0.

Goalie Cole Kehler stopped 20 shots, earning the Komets their first shutout in nearly two years.

Brett McKenzie and Brady Shaw each scored power play goals in the first period. Shawn St-Amant capitalized on another power play late in the third, scoring with 1:19 left to play.
