WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WPTA21) - Ross-Ade Stadium will live on, but with a twist, as Purdue University will name the field itself for Indiana businessman and megadonor Bob Rohrman.

"Rohrman Field at Ross-Ade Stadium" will debut in 2020.

It follows the a $15 million gift from Rohrman, whose auto dealership empire includes such properties as Bob Rohrman Fort Wayne Toyota and Bob Rohrman Subaru of Fort Wayne.

The donation will fund renovations at the aging stadium, school officials said.

Rohrman's automotive roots are in Lafayette and date to the 1950s, but over the years, his reach expanded all across Indiana.

He is a recent recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash Award and has been recognized by numerous organizations for his philanthropy.
