Pacer additions pace Mad Ants win

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21The Fort Wayne Mad Ants defeated the Erie BayHawks, 113-93 Saturday night led by Pacer assignees Goga Bitadze and Alize Johnson.

The Mad Ants led Erie, 21-6, with 4:19 left in the first quarter and would go on to never trail in the two-game set at the Memorial Coliseum this weekend.

Bitadze and Johnson were assigned by the Pacers earlier Saturday morning, and it was Bitadze who shined throughout the game ending his Fort Wayne debut to lead the team with 26 points as well as 14 rebounds.

The 6-foot-11 rookie knocked down 10 of 18 shots, including a 4-for-6 clip from beyond the arc.

Johnson tallied his second double-double in two games this season with Fort Wayne, highlighted by 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Pacers two-way player Brian Bowen II and Walt Lemon, Jr. joined in with double-double performances of their own.

After missing the last three games with a wrist injury, Bowen capped his night with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Lemon dished out 10 assists to go along with 16 points.
