Sheriff Max Weber told ABC21 his deputies worked with California authorities to track a package bound for Laotto. Deputies obtained a search warrant and intercepted the item at a local delivery company warehouse before it could reach its final destination.

Noble County Sergeant Carey Coney and his K-9 partner Ike sniffed out the package and confirmed the drugs inside. Police said the drugs were packaged in a unique way in an attempt to confuse any drug detection dogs. But the trick couldn't fool the astute pup trained to track down drugs in Noble County.

After the package was intercepted in Indiana, California police captured the suspect in Riverside, east of Los Angeles. Raul Ruiz, 38, will face charges in both Indiana and California.

Drug suspect Raul Ruiz was arrested in Riverside, California after a Noble County K9 and deputy intercepted a package full of meth.

The drug bust came two days after the largest meth seizure in Noble County history, said police.
