FORT WAYNE, Ind . (WPTA21) - A road weary and flu bitten group of Komets dropped a 4-2 decision to the Idaho Steelheads on Sunday night at the Memorial Coliseum.
The Komets had ridden a bus back from Wheeling after playing there Saturday night while Idaho had rested at their Fort Wayne hotel since beating the K's on Friday night.
That and a flu bug running through the Komets put them at a disadvantage that they could not overcome, starting with falling behind 2-0 after the first period Sunday.
Jermaine Loewen and Brett McKenzie had the Fort Wayne goals, but the K's never led in the game.
