FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - Parkview Health is expanding its southwest location to include a more wide-range of care, including a walk-in clinic and an outpatient center.
Right now, Parkview Inverness offers imaging, lab, cardiology, podiatry and other specialty services.
But once construction on two new buildings is complete, they'll be able to offer a walk-in clinic, adult and pediatric primary care, pharmacy, infusion, therapy, expanded outpatient surgery options and other specialty services.
Parkview says this move is to meet the growing demand for services in the area.
The new medical office building, to be located at the southwest corner of Illinois Road and Glencarin Boulevard, is under construction.
The 19,000-square-foot building will initially house the primary care office and walk-in clinic.
Construction is expected to be completed this summer.
The new outpatient center is slated to be three stories tall with a basement, totaling 112,000 square feet.
The plans include an optional 18,000-square foot expansion.
Construction on this portion of the campus at the southeast corner of Illinois Road and Glencarin Boulevard is expected to begin in March, and completed in 2021.
