SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WPTA21) - The University of Notre Dame is mourning the loss of a student who was reported missing Thursday and then found Friday in a lake on campus.

Notre Dame senior Annrose Jerry was last seen on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

Indiana State Police issued a statewide Silver Alert on Thursday while Notre Dame Campus police scoured the area to find her.

Unfortunately, public safety personnel discovered her body in the Saint Mary's Lake on campus around 11:15 a.m. Friday.

The St. Joseph County Coroner Michael J. McGann said an external examination of the body revealed no apparent signs of trauma.

The University Counseling Center and Campus Ministry are available to offer their support to members of the Notre Dame family.

A Mass in memory of Annrose will be celebrated at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart early next week.
