FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – Multiple cars were involved in three connected crashes this morning on I-69.
The Allen County Sheriff's Department said they were called to the 299 mile-marker in the northbound lanes of I-69, near Lower Huntington Road, Wednesday around 7 a.m. about a five-car crash.
One person in that crash was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Indiana State Police (ISP) said the five-car crash created a domino effect, causing a three-car crash and then a two-car crash in the same area.
No injuries were reported in the two secondary crashes.
Police say all lanes were closed in the area of the crash but have since reopened.
