Braun honored by Indiana broadcasters

WASHINGTON (WPTA21) - U.S. Sen. Mike Braun accepted an award from the Indiana Broadcasters Association for his work "Honoring the First Amendment."

The award was presented to the first-term Republican as 19 representatives of the Hoosier broadcasting industry gathered in Washington this week.

The group is meeting with lawmakers and others to discuss matters related to television and radio in Indiana (and elsewhere). The association represents nearly 300 broadcasters statewide.

WPTA TV Vice President and General Manager Merry Ewing is among those taking part.
