Komets add another win at Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WPTA21) -- The Komets continue to stockpile wins against last-place Kalamazoo.

Fort Wayne beat the Wings 3-2 on Tuesday night. The Komets are now 9-3-1 against Kalamazoo this season.

The K-Wings took a 1-0 lead into the second, then Anthony Petruzzelli evened things up with a goal early in the period.

Kyle Haas and Brett McKenzie added goals during the second, and the Komets held a 3-2 lead heading into the third.

Jake Hildebrand managed to fend off all 11 shots he saw in the final period, including a couple 6-on-4 attempts in the final seconds.

The Komets will play their next couple games at Toledo on Friday and Saturday night.
