Billups post career high, Mastodons set defensive record in win over Denver

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) -- Freshman Deonte Billups dropped a career-high 21 points on Wednesday, helping Purdue Fort Wayne beat Denver 58-51.

The Mastodons held the visiting Pioneers to just 14 points in the first half, which set a new record for Purdue Fort Wayne against a Division I program.

Dylan Carl also made some personal history, earning hist first career double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Mastodons play their final regular season game on Saturday at Oral Roberts.
