UTEC moving 140 jobs to Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - United Technologies Electronic Controls is bringing close to 150 jobs from their Huntington office to downtown Fort Wayne.
UTEC signed a long-term lease for 53,246 square feet in the Indiana Office Center building on Wayne Street, taking up several floors of the building.
The company plans to bring up to 140 engineers, research, and developmental staff to the new space late this summer.
UTEC is a global manufacturer of electronic controls for the HVAC, foodservice and RV industries.
The building is also home to Flagstar Bank, Wells Fargo, and Elevatus Architecture.
Back in 2017, the company announced it was moving manufacturing operations to a new plant in Mexico.
That left 700 workers without jobs.
