FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - A Fort Wayne man charged in a shooting that left another man fighting for his life appeared in court Monday morning.

Nathan Stumpff, 23, is charged with aggravated battery, criminal recklessness, battery and carrying a handgun without a license charge in connection to a shooting that happened March 5 on Shadybrook Drive.

In court on Monday, Stumpff asked for a public defender.

He will learn his trial date on April 1, and the judge set his bond at $72,500.
