Two charged with string of vehicle vandalism cases

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - Two young men are accused of vandalizing more than 50 vehicles with a pellet gun in Fort Wayne and Allen County.

Fort Wayne Police arrested 18-year-old Caleb Aquino and 19-year-old Jon Jonathon Yoder in connection to a string of car vandalism reports where windows were shattered between Jan. 29 and Feb. 2.

A total of 44 vehicles were reported damaged in Fort Wayne, and an additional 19 were reported damaged in Allen County.

Police said a name was provided to a detective, and he was able to track the pair down.

Both men admitted to the crime, and turned themselves into the police station Wednesday night.

They are both charged with five counts of criminal mischief.

The two were arraigned in court Thursday.
