FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - An Allen County man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after a judge sentenced him to 125 years in connection to a triple shooting in 2018.
Travon Fincher, 22, was found guilty of murder, attempted murder, and a firearm enhancement charges back in February.
These charges stem from the shooting in the 800 block of Madison St. on August 30, 2018.
In court on Friday, the judge handed him the 125-year sentence.
He also received 563 days of Jail Credit.
One person died in the shooting and two others were injured, one critically and the other seriously.
Court documents show Travon Fincher was hanging out with the victims before the shooting. One of the victims told police Fincher went to the restroom and came out shooting.
After being shot, the victim told police she laid on the couch and pretended to be dead.
One of the other victims said after shooting them, Fincher took about $1,000 and drugs.
Fincher indicated he would appeal his sentence, and a new public defender will be appointed in the case.
