FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - A local law firm joined the community cause on Tuesday and sponsored the delivery of a truckload of food to the Community Harvest Food Bank.
Blackburn & Green purchased the goods through Life International, and a trailer-full of goods shipped out of Blissfield, Mich., Tuesday morning.
They were unloaded into the Fort Wayne warehouse that provides thousands of local residents with food.
Community Harvest has been affected in a number of ways by the COVID-19 outbreak.
Donations from partners are down as the business world struggles with a near shutdown of the economy, and the organization has also been running on a much smaller staff in recent weeks.
