ANGOLA, Ind. (WPTA21) -- Brandon Appleton's excited about his new role at Angola, but it wasn't the easiest decision to make.

The coach will take over the boys basketball program, after spending the last six seasons as the girls head coach.

It was tough for Appleton to step away from his girls team, even if he's staying in the same building.

"I want nothing but the best for those girls," Appleton said. "Even though I'm not on the sidelines, there will be no bigger advocate for girls basketball in Angola than myself."
