FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - In the wake of a weekend filled with unrest and clashes with police, demonstrators have gathered outside the Allen County Courthouse for the fifth day.

Over the weekend, peaceful protests transformed into clashes with police downtown.

Officers deployed tear gas, pepper spray and other crowd-control devices at various locations.

Some businesses sustained damage -- mostly broken windows and graffiti.

Monday's protest was peaceful, and Tuesday's event appears to be following suit.

Protesters are demanding justice for George Floyd.

Floyd was an unarmed black man who was killed in police custody in Minneapolis. The white officer who knelt on his neck for several minutes is now facing murder charges in his death.

Fort Wayne is one of many cities across the country seeing protests.
