FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) -- Bernard Pollard Jr. had an impressive football career, a superstar in the SAC who eventually won a Super Bowl ring with Baltimore.

Now he's latching onto a new sport: NASCAR. Pollard said he got interested in the sport after learning about Bubba Wallace, and his successful efforts to get NASCAR to ban the confederate flag at races.

Pollard has watched every race he can, start to finish. During those viewings, he posts plenty of questions on Twitter, and fans have quickly offered answers, helping Pollard learn as he watches.

"Everybody's responding and it's been so much fun for me," Pollard said. "I'm not only learning from the racers, I'm learning from the crew chiefs. I'm learning from the people that are part of the pit crews. I'm learning from the fans."
