MANSFIELD, Ohio (WPTA21) - The manhunt for a man wanted in connection to a Fort Wayne homicide is now in custody.

The US Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested 23-year-old Martrell Weaver around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mansfield, Ohio.

The US Marshals found Weaver in a wooded area where he was taken into custody without further incident.

Officers believe he probably spent the last 20 to 30 hours in the woods trying to figure out his next move.

Weaver is being held without bond in the Richland County Jail while he awaits extradition back to Allen County.

He's wanted in the shooting death of 22-year-old Amanda Hoglund on Wednesday, June 24.

He's been on the run ever since.

First responders found her in a driveway in the 1900 block of Clarmarnic Drive suffering from gunshot wounds.

She died from her injuries, and the coroner ruled her death a homicide.
