Sunday has brought hit-and-miss showers and storms to the region. Like the activity we've seen for the past couple of weeks, only select locations have been able to pick up some much-needed rain. A few funnel clouds have been reported, but severe weather is not expected. Funnel clouds that may develop in today's environment are typically brief and harmless.
Showers and storms clear out later Sunday evening, closer to the 10-11PM timeframe. Afterwards, clouds will be on the decrease and temperatures fall into the lower 60's, bringing the coolest night we've seen in 10 days!
Clear skies and mostly sunny conditions persist through Monday. Drier air moves in, causing it to feel more mild and refreshing despite highs entering the mid 80's.
Enjoy the "cooler" air Monday--we're heating right back into the upper 80's to lower 90's the rest of the week! Some scattered rain chances will be possible, with the best chance for rain occurring overnight Wednesday into early Thursday morning.
