Portions of NE Indiana and NW Ohio are now technically in a moderate drought (areas shaded in orange). The yellow regions indicate where it has been abnormally dry.
We have had some rain the past few weeks, but not enough. Since June 1st, we have only received about 2.5" of rain, which is 3.5"+ below normal.
Scattered downpours/storms remain possible this weekend into next week, but no signs of a widespread, soaking rain as of now.
In the short term, we'll see areas of fog develop overnight, with visibility down to a few miles possible. Skies will clear Friday afternoon and we should easily make it to 90º by then.
Hot and humid weather continues into the weekend.
