Woman battered in 2017 dies from her injuries; death a ruled a homicide

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - A woman battered in 2017 died this weekend, and the Allen County Coroner says those injuries contributed to her death.

Jacqueline Coley, 58, was a victim of a battery in October 2017.

The coroner's office said she died on Sunday, and her injuries were a component to her death.

The autopsy found she died from complications of multiple blunt force injuries to her face and head, and her death was ruled a homicide.

Her death marks the 26th homicide in Allen County this year.
