FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) -- Another Fort Wayne native has reached the highest level of professional baseball.
Wednesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers called up North Side graduate Zach McKinstry.
McKinstry played his college baseball at Central Michigan, before going to the Dodgers in the 33rd round of the 2016 MLB draft.
The utility player has put up impressive numbers as he's climbed the pro baseball ladder, especially last year. McKinstry hit .300, with 19 home runs in 2019, splitting time between the AA and AAA level.
