FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - US Marshals and Fort Wayne Police detectives tracked down a homicide suspect who police say is responsible for a fatal shooting at the Coliseum Inn last month.

Wednesday evening, Fort Wayne Police Gang and Violent Crimes officers and the US Marshals Service learned that 26-year-old Jeremiah Stevenson was hiding out in a home in the 3600 block of Winer Street.

Detectives determined him to be a person of interest soon after the July 8 homicide of Jean Emmanuel Duperat at the Coliseum Inn.

Officers showed up at the address early Wednesday evening and took Stevenson into custody without incident.

Following an interview, police charged Stevenson with murder.
