Coroner: Ohio man shot and killed overnight

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - A 42-year-old Ohio man who was shot and killed early Friday morning marks Allen County's 30th homicide of 2020.

In the early morning hours of Aug. 14, police responded to a home on the 4900 block of S. Harrison St. around midnight.

When they got to the scene they found a man in serious condition with gunshot wounds to his chest and stomach. The man was taken to the hospital where he died.

The Allen County coroner ruled 42-year-old Antonyo Stephens of Columbus, Ohio died after being shot several times.

Police say several people were inside the home at the time of the shooting. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and searching for a possible suspect.

There have now been more homicides in 2020 than in 2019.
