KENDALLVILE, Ind. (WPTA21) - A Kendallville employer is laying off more than 300 employees.

That's according to a WARN notice filed Tuesday with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

LSC Communications said it's permanently closing its facility at 2500 Marion Drive in Kendallville, and about 307 people will be affected.

The company noted the closure will be permanent but did say this closure is not impacting the LSC facility at 3094 Lester Drive in Kendallville.

The layoffs are slated to begin on Oct. 1, and by Christmas time, the company expects all employees to be let go.

In April of this year, LSC voluntarily filed for bankruptcy reorganization.

The Chapter 11 filing coincided with $100 million in new financing, according to company officials, who said the bankruptcy and the infusion of cash would, "support the company's operation and restructuring needs."
