DECATUR, Ind. (WPTA21) - Chris and Marah Steele are preparing for their busy season. As autumn settles in, the pair welcome guests to their farm.
For 11 years, they have carved corn mazes, grown pumpkins and stocked a small country store at Steele Farms. The foray into tourism isn't new to the Steele family, but it is part of a larger trend.
Across the country, small and medium sized farms are turning to agritourism to bolster the bottom line and teach others about local agriculture.
The family welcomed us to their home for a look around and an understanding of how they work to teach others about farming.
